Save Money on your Fuel Costs This Summer

Many of us must use our cars.

Living in Langley, BC there are many reasons we have to drive as transit is almost non-existent here.  But there is hope!

In this article (Found by clicking here) they suggest 15 ways to reduce your fuel/transportation expenses this coming summer.

My favourite is commuting during off peak hours or even Telecommuting (Working from home using your phone and computer).  This has been my primary method for going to work.  Up until May 1 2012 I have been ‘telecommuting’ to work from my home office as much as possible.  This saves a lot on your fuel bill as your car never leaves the house.  Now that I have my new office my schedule is flexible enough to travel during off-peak hours  get around sitting in rush hour traffic.  Maybe you could talk to your boss and see if this is possible?

I also like the idea of taking the time to plan out your trips and errands to ensure you are being efficient with your timing and your trips.  This will reduce your gas bill and reduce wasted time.
